Keepers of the house

We are the ones who keep The Plain House in order (in alphabetical order, that is).

Aaron Fisher-Erickson

Aaron Fisher-Erickson

HI! I'm Aaron Fisher-Erickson, I work for a Nebraska based bank, on their IT department. I have a fantastic wife and 2 goof-ball kids. I have always had many and differing interests. I never have considered myself "artsy" or expressive, but I have always found catharsis in writing. Feelings and thoughts are so fleeting, if you can culminate a thought or a feeling using the right words, its funny how it always seems to resonate with others. Humans all have a common thread. Tug that thread, we all feel it.

Michelle Parsneau

Hi, I'm Michelle Parsneau.  I'm a karaoke host and owner of Kato Karaoke, living in Minnesota with my husband (a professor and colleague of Scott's), a few birds, several fish.  I spend more time on the internet than is good for me.  I am an active member of my progressive Presbyterian church, the president of our local chapter of the National Organization for Women, and I've recently started to pay more attention to and flex my creative/artistic muscles.  I volunteer with the local community theater group, Merely Players, and recently bought my first DSLR camera, and am learning to use it. Scott's gracious invitation to contribute to The Plain House was a message from the Universe that I couldn't ignore.  The synchronicity of his invitation and my new project was too perfect to have been mere chance.

Priya Patel

Priya Patel

My name is Priya Patel and I am a amateur poet but love the art of expression through words.  A great majority of my work is through personal experiences and emotions.  Many think that I am a open book; to read my poetry is to read me.   I love when I can share a story and someone reads and feels the way I feel through my writing.  I have a few of my poems published in an ebook titled Twisted Stories that was published through Gather.com and hopefully will try to start another new book of my own.  Feed back is so very important to me; it helps me to know what works and what does not.  I truly believe it is an art to keep a captive audience/reader.  I can only hope that I do that for my readers.

Rusty Rimes

I am an overweight, balding, White haired old man (last of my 50's), who has loved and lost. But as the saying goes, "Better to have loved and lost, then never to have loved at all." I received my GED when I was 16 years old, then proceeded to self educate the rest of my life. An example of this is my website, which is all hand coded in a text editor. You may ask, why? If it was easy, I wouldn't enjoy the challenges of trial and error. I love to write, and, as a general rule, love people as well. Lastly, I'm a father, uncle, grandfather, and a child at heart.
